But senior sex can present challenges due to physical or emotional issues. However, these problems csn be overcome with better understanding. With an open mind, you can enjoy a healthy sex life well into your later years.
Man or woman, you can enjoy sex for as long as you wish. Sex at 70 or 80 may not be like it is at 20 or 30—but in some ways it can be better. But many elders end up turning away from sex because of embarrasment with their aging bodies or by their “performance, illness or loss of a partner. Being honest.and letting your partner know how you are feeling can be relaxing, attractive, and enjoyable. Try something new which is acceptable to your partner. The senior yearscan be a time of creative passion.
Sex takes on a broader definition as we age. It is not just about intercourse. It is about emotional pleasure, sensory pleasure, and relationship pleasure. Touching, kissing, and other intimate sexual contact can be just as rewarding for both you and your partner.
Passion is about intimacy and touch. Even if you are ill or have physical disabilities, you can engage in intimate acts and benefit from closeness with your partner. Change your old ideas of what sex is. Focuson the importance of tenderness and contact. You may want to start with a romantic dinner or breakfast. Share romantic or erotic literature and poetry. Hold hands and touch your partner often, and encourage him or her to touch you. Tell your partner what you love about him/her, and share your ideas about new sexual experiences you might have together. Find something that relaxes both of you, massage or baths together.
Keep in mind that it’s not all about intercourse or recreating the way things were when you were younger. The key to a great sex life is finding out what works for you.

Being playful with your partner is important for a good sex life at any age, but can be especially helpful if you’re a senior. Tease or tickle your partner—whatever it takes to have fun. Hold each other, touch gently , kissing sofly, and sensually massage body parts. Try limiting yourself to masturbation oral sex. If both are ready and willing try sexual positions that both find comfortable and pleasurable. Stop when things become unconfortable, abd start over again, without feeling guilty.
