Deaddiction
Short Stay Deaddiction for Alcohol & Drug Abuse
Short Stay 15 is a comprehensive alcohol and drug abuse detox and deaddiction hospital program. The goal is to stabilize patients in 15 days and return them to the family.
Detox is an important preliminary step in the management of alcoholism and drug abuse. It is a medically supervised period of withdrawal from alcohol or drug. Medical management of alcohol withdrawal for people who are alcohol or drug dependent is often necessary, because the symptoms of withdrawal can be dangerous. Detox is followed by Deaddiction.
During the detox period, medications are administered to control symptoms, and the individual is monitored carefully.
Once the withdrawal symptoms subside, the person is taken up for Deaddiction, during which he receives education about his or her alcohol problem and its treatment and methods to cope with the craving for alcohol or the drug.
Once the patient is discharged the deaddiction program is continued in an out patient setting.
